About us
ASSOCIATION SOCIETY AND VALUES is a civil non-profit public benefit organization that has been actively working since 2007 to promote and protect human dignity, individual freedom, the rights of children and parents, marriage, and the family.
The Association carries out activities related to public awareness, civic participation, and advocacy on issues concerning legislation and public policies in these areas.
The organization’s position papers and petitions are based on scientific research, analysis of the consequences of similar policies in other countries, the Constitution of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as the applicable national and international law binding on the Republic of Bulgaria.
OUR MISSION is to educate, motivate and mobilize more pro-active citizens to uphold and defend values and policies that protect the human dignity and freedom, marriage and family at a National and European level, so we can see healthy families and societies.
What we do?
01.
INFORM, EDUCATE AND ACTIVATE
more like-minded citizens on upcoming changes in legislation directed against human dignity and freedom, marriage and family, and help their voice to be heard. We provide useful information, facts, statistics, stories on these issues.
02.
MONITOR
independently legislative initiatives in the area of human dignity and freedom, marriage and family.
03.
WE ADVOCATE
for the human dignity and freedom, the institution of marriage and family as well as the protection of the rights of the children and parents.
04.
PROMOTE AND PROTECT
the family and the marriage defined as a legal union between one man and one woman, as it is defined also in the Bulgarian Constitution.
05.
NETWORK
and cooperate with experts, professionals, and organizations in Bulgaria and abroad that work to protect the individual and the family, in order to respond to the ongoing pressure on family and freedom.
06.
MARRIAGE WEEK IN BULGARIA
We initiated conducting the International Marriage Week in Bulgaria in 2012, promoting the value of strong and healthy marriages for the spouses, the children and the society.
